The proton dissociation constant of the ligand and the stability of the complexes between divalent metal ions with ligand (PMHETPI) were studied at 298 1 K and 3081K at constant ionic strengths of water – dioxane medium by pH measurements. The proton ligand and metal ligand stability constants of the complexes were determined by the Calvin-Bjerrum pH – titration technique. The order of stability constants obeys the Irving – Rossotti order. The negative G0 values suggest the reaction to occur spontaneously. Correlations of the log K, values with some fundamental properties of metal ions have been made.
