Abstract

The concept of ethnicity has been used in recent discourses to map cultural, social, political and national identities in the colonized world. V s naipaul a 20th century writer is engaged in the exploration of the colonial experience through various realities of life. V. S. Naipaul is a multi layerd international writer and his grandparents were part of the huge dispersal of Indians to provide indentured labor for the British empire after the abolition of slavery and he himself in self imposed exile from Trinidad birth place, living in England but claiming never to feel like home anywhere. Naipaul's novel A House for Mr. Biswas focuses on the descendent of indentured laborers to achieve success for the themselves and their children.
