Breast cancer is the commonest form of cancer in women, all around the world . Early detection can help in complete treatment of breast cancer. But due to lack of awareness and proper diagnostic tools, many ignore the symptoms or suffer in silence. The advent of mammography has helped in extensive breast cancer detection in women. Digital mammography is the most widely used technique in breast cancer detection. Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) and technology used to decode images have an important role to play in advanced diagnosis of breast cancer. In this paper efficiency and accuracy of these techniques are studied and theses are directly related to the rate of early breast cancer detection
