Title

Designing of Cross Dipole Antenna for L-Band Applications

Abstract

A cross dipole antenna having very efficient return loss is introduced in this paper for wireless communication applications. This cross dipole antenna is designed over double layered printed circuit board, and a Reflector is used to improve the performance of antenna such as return loss and bandwidth. The reflector improved return loss up to -39dB and bandwidth up to 30MHz.Reflector is connected at the distance of 30mm from the antenna to provide a significant air gap. This cross dipole antenna is then center feed with the coaxial cable of 50Ohm.
