Victims of Trafficking and Prostitution

Abstract

Trafficking and prostitution are still inexorable in many parts across the globe. This alleged oldest profession; prostitution, has given birth to the societal evil of human and child trafficking and there have been no end to the number of incidents ever since. The victims of trafficking and prostitution have to suffer from sexual exploitation, forced labor services, slavery or maybe even organ removal, pornography or begging. Preys of this societal evil might have been subject to alcohol or drugs or may have been under the false impression of marriage. There is a wide networking of professionals involved who execute this heinous crime. Brothels and pimps acting as catalysts responsible for the transformation of a human being to mere bodies alive only to be oppressed. This paper would deal with the analysis of problems faced by victims of prostitution and trafficking and the methods of rehabilitation and suggest the dire need to criminalize this heinous crime.
