Abstract Harvesters discover Resource Maps before the Aggregations described by them can be understood. ReMs can be discovered in any number of ways and this document discusses some of the recommended discovery mechanisms OAI-ORE and OAI-PMH. In this paper Open Archives Initiative Object Reuse and Exchange (OAI-ORE) providing introductions to the basic specification and basic concepts standards for the description and define the exchange of aggregations of Web resources. This document describes the abstract data model. This model is conformant with the Architecture of the World Wide Web and leverages concepts from the Semantic Web including RDF descriptions and Linked Data. This paper describes that the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for data harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability. Data providers are repositories that expose structured data via OAI-PMH. Service providers then create OAI-PMH service requests to harvest that data. OAI-PMH is a set of six verbs or services that are invoked within hypertext transfer protocol.
