Title

Hybrid ant colony and particle swarm optimization based fault tolerance in MANET

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is an infrastructure-less network, which has an autonomous collection of wireless devices (smartphones, sensors, personal digital assistants, laptops, etc.) The nodes can communicate with each other over the wireless medium. Several heuristic traditional algorithms were utilized to seek out ideal offloading options within the MANETs, which includes GA along with PSO algorithms. An ACO method impartial of them the navigation issues, and the final results acquired with all the ACO strategy may be enhanced using PSO. The effects on the node disappointments have been abandoned within a lot of the established analysis for offloading inside MANETs. The majority of the established procedures are generally in accordance with the thought of defense regarding failover and that is pricey naturally when essential added nodes. Impact on the nodes scalability offers abandoned inside many of the established research. Therefore, the crossbreed type that mixes your ACO along with PSO techniques has been suggested for the optimization technique. The fault-tolerant algorithm is firstly evaluated to find the failed node (if any) then replace it with its best alternative node. The main sign of the proposed technique is, it does not require any secondary node(s) for failover. Therefore, the proposed failover technique is cost-effective in nature. Extensive experiments reveal that the proposed approach outperforms the existing techniques.
