Abstract Aspiration is a craving which determines your path for success .it guides and motivates an individual to achieve success in life and work. Nuclear family is a system of bonding and living parents and only their children with but joint family is a system where not only parents and children share the above but the grandparents ,uncle ,aunts and their children live together. The aim was to study the effect of joint and nuclear family on the Occupational Aspiration of Girls. It was hypothesized that there will be an effect of joint and nuclear families on the occupational aspirations of girls. A sample of 20 girls from nuclear and 20 girls from joint family was measured on occupational aspiration. The obtained t value reveals that there is insignificant difference between the occupational aspiration of girls from nuclear and joint families.
