ABSTRACT: Srimanta Sankardeva is the playwright, translator, redeemer of chaotic Assamese people in the history of mediaeval Assam. He is the founder of Neo-Vaishnavite movement of Assam. He was born in 1449 year A.D. at Alipukhuri near Bordowaof Nagaon district in Assam. After completion education in Mahendra Kandali Tol (old Sanskrit School). Sankardeva pilgrimage many holyplace of Northern part of India. he pilgrimage there for twelve years. After completed his pilgrimage he founded the Neo-Vaishnavite movementwith his pilgrimage experience. He have read many Masterpiece of Indian holy text Veda, Upanishada(Vedanta), Purana, Samhita etc.Srimadbhagavta Purana he likes most. He translatedits verse into Assamese. Besides translation he created many transforms on its. In this paper an attemp t to be made to evaluate the philosophical thought of Sankardeva in his writings.
