Breastfeeding is natural nutrition for the newborn and infant, it provides all kind of energies and nutrients to them, which they need for the first month of life. (in WHO News Centre, 2018). So, we can say that it contains on numerous protective factors, which can developed immune system of the infant against the infectious diseases. The present study was conducted to investigate the knowledge, attitude and practice towards breastfeeding among lactating mothers in urban areas of Tehsil: Shujabad, District: Multan-Pakistan. For this purpose, the author randomly selected 50 lactating mothers from all over the Tehsil. After this, a comprehensive interviewing schedule was designed to collect the required information. Results reveal that breastfeeding not only plays an important role in the infants’ life because it saves them him from diarrhea and Pneumonia diseases but also saves their mothers from pregnancy along this it also prevents them from many diseases like breast cancer etc. Finally, some suggestions are given at the end of the paper through which we enhance the knowledge of breastfeeding among the lactating mothers.
