Abstract

Abstract Based on the software,most of the equipment systems from general usages to heavy usages. So now this becomes necessary to assess the reliability of developer’s software quantitatively. A Mathematical tool software reliability growth model SRGM is used to describe software reliability. In this paper we evaluate software reliability quantitatively by a comparative study of the estimated results of two different predefined models namely NHPP model (non homogeneous Poisson process model) and Musa model and by considering two types of faults long lasting (permanent) that follow exponential distribution and temporary (transient) faults follows weibull distribution. These faults are treated independently and we can remove them separately
