Brass is a very important engineering material used in various engineering applications. The composition alloying elements in brass may change give it very unique properties. Marble dust is an environments waste which is a residue left during machining or marble slabs. The particle size of marble dust is in microns and it possess high hardness such martial can be used for antiwear application. In this article marble dust with different compositions were added to brass via stir casting. The mechanical properties like hardness and tensile strength were measured. The addition of marble dust decreased the tensile strength but the hardness was improved significantly.
