In this paper, robust image watermarking technique using cryptographic algorithm has been proposed. By using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) with SVD, a multi-bit watermark is embedded into the low frequency sub-band of a cover image by using variable scaling factor. The insertion and extraction of the watermark is protected using cryptographic algorithm. The experimental results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed work on the basis of MATLAB simulation work. Performance is evaluated on the basis of different fidelity parameter like as peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), normalized correlation coefficient (NCC) etc.
