Abstract

The objectives of higher education are mainly to promote, disseminate and generate knowledge to achieve the goals like vibrant wisdom, tolerance, adventure, critical thinking capacity of the people thus search for the truth. Higher education is of paramount importance for all economic, political and social development. It is a step forward, occupies a pivotal position in the educational system of any country as it stands at the top of the entire educational structure. The ultimate aim of all the colleges is therefore, to improve the welfare of the society by providing good education. At the same time, people and their capabilities are considered as important means and instrument in achieving the various economic, social and political objectives of the educational institutions. The study analyze the performance of human resources in publications and participations in different academic courses organized by different institutions and accordingly draw the importance for performance evaluation.
