70% of the plastic produced in Pune is converted to waste. In 2016, Pune generated 1600-1700 tonnes of solid waste each day. According to a new article, Pune was ranked as 7th most congested city in India. There are simple and doable solutions to the above-mentioned facts and figures of problems. This paper focuses on how by making small corrections, citizens can help reduce the damage that we have done. The onus of handling the environmental and social problems does not lie on the Government alone but, also on the citizens and especially, young citizens.
