Title

The Quality Control play significant role on Food Safety Practices in select food companies

Abstract

The proper quality control plays a significant role to ensuring consumer confidence on such food products and more importantly, it is protecting consumers from health dangers such as food spoilage or contaminations. The Quality Control in the Food companies play important role. The Quality control is a reactive process and aims to identify and rectify the defects in finished products and raw materials. It can be achieved by identifying and eliminating sources of quality problems to ensure continually meet consumers requirements. The research purpose selected four food companies are contain quality control department. The respondents are 520 employees from the total population of 3800 from four food manufacturing companies. The four food companies are following the food safety standards and guidelines. The manufacturing companies are maintaining the food analysis laboratory, it adopted standard operation procedures, latest specifications of raw material and final product. The quality control Standards have a positive role to play as well as fulfilling the more quality of products and negative purpose of preventing abuse. The effective quality control systems are essential to protect the health and safety of consumers. They are also critical in enabling countries to assure the safety and quality of their foods entering international trade and to ensure that imported foods conform to national requirements. The new global environment for food trade places considerable obligations on both importing and exporting countries to strengthen their food quality control systems and to implement and enforce risk-based food quality control strategies.
