Title

STUDY ON MACHINERY FAULT DIAGNOSIS USING SIGNAL PROCESSING TECHNIQUES

Abstract

This study has been undertaken to investigate about faults occurs in industries during the manufacturing process. The normal faults occur in electrical drives, rotating machines, transmission lines, power management systems. So these faults can be detected using analog or digital sensors so that operating conditions can be observed & compared during normal operating condition and during the fault condition. More fast & accurate will be the fault detection, efficiency will be more for the system. So there are various techniques which have been used for the detection of fault based on frequency domain like Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT), Wavelet Transform(WT), Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT). So this paper present the comparison between the various techniques used for the diagnosis of the fault occurs in manufacturing process.
