Abstract
The social harmony of a country is increasingly coming under threat because of Juvenile
delinquency. Across the world including India, an increase in the serious offences committed by the juveniles has been observed. The matter is of grave concern and the Indian legal system and judiciary has responded with amendments in the Juvenile Act. The primary objective of the paper is to analyze the statistical evidences available from various sources and formulate an approach to obliterate this menace. The amendment in the Act pertaining Juvenile Delinquency has been done to do trial of juveniles involved in heinous crimes on par with adults.
