The theme of the present paper is highlighted on status of Library automation of College with Potential for excellence Libraries in Maharashtra. University Grant Commission has introduced CPE Scheme in its 10 th five year plan in the year 2004-2005 and awarded a financial grants ranging from 35 lacks to 1 crore rupees for the selected Institution for the period of three years. In Maharashtra University Grants Commission has selected 47 colleges for CPE Scheme in different three phases.
