Analysis and Optimization of Landing Gears in an Aircraft
Abstract
In this paper static analysis of landing gear when aircraft is parked on the ground. we have designed the landing gear structural components using commercially available CAD tool for 3D structural designing, stress analysis carried out using MSC Nastran and Pastran is used for importing the geometry, meshing, and for defining the immaterial properties where as nastran is used for a solver and analyzed the stresses on it. After calculating the stresses over the landing gear structure can able to withstand the load or not.
