Title

A study on the determinants of Employee Engagement among working women

Abstract

ABSRACT: With the increase in the number of working women in today’s work place scenario, Organisations need to draft HR policies keeping their needs and lifestyles in mind. It also should be noted that women have different needs that keep them satisfied and committed to their work than men. When an organisation makes sure women have autonomy in decision making, authority, independence and treated equally they feel engaged. Therefore employee this paper attempts to find out the need for employee engagement and the ways in which working women can be engaged. Employee engagement has been acknowledged as a vital factor contributing to organizational success and could have positive implications in all aspects of any business. Engagement takes place when employees are committed to their work and for the organization with job engagement when they find their work interesting and when they identify themselves as an important part of the organization. For this study, researchers have reviewed existing literature, research papers in the area of employee engagement to arrive at the determinants .The findings of this study will be useful to any organization, irrespective of the type of business, to construct strong employee engagement policy with mix of all these factors of employee engagement specifically for women employees. The findings of this study will be useful to organizations, in order to help the managers improve their engagement with their employees and to improve the overall performance. Key words:
