Title

IMPACT OF ADMIXTURES ON SPLIT TENSILE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE

Abstract

The behavior of rigid pavements on addition of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibre and fly ash, Metakaolin, GGBS has been investigated in the current study. The engineering properties of concrete vary with variation in pva fibre concentration. PVA fibres of length 6 mm with aspect ratio of 428 are used in this study. For economical purpose cement is partially replaced by different materials such as fly ash, Metakaolin, silica fume, GGBS. In this study PVA fibre is added to the concrete in different proportions such as 0.125%, 0.25%, 0.375%, and 0.5%.
