Morphological analysis is an important part of natural language processing. Machine translation is very easy with the help of morphological analysis. It is effective feature of part of speech tagger. Effective implementation of morphological analyzer (MA) can be seen in language which is rich in morphemes. Chhattisgarhi is a morphologically rich language, due to wide variety of words available in Chhattisgarhi. This paper is primarily concerned with the design of a morphological analyzer for Chhattisgarhi language. The input to this analyzer will be a Chhattisgarhi word or sentence and after doing the proper analysis it will return the root word along with its feature as output. The features will have categories like part of speech (noun, pronoun, verb, adjective etc.), gender, number and person. Two approaches will be followed by analyzer-corpus based and rule based.

Inflectional, Derivational, Transitive, Intransitive.
