The world energy is dependent on conventional sources of energy for the base load despite the increasing popularity and implementation of renewable energy sources as the latter are not steady state energy sources. Storage systems aid in maximizing utility of renewable energy sources. To accommodate the projected high penetration of intermittent nature of renewable sources like solar and wind energy in future grids, storage facilities are needed to deliver the right amount of power at right quality with lower grid rejection loss. The below report analyses the cost impact of the implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
