Title

SELF-CONCEPT OF HIGHER SECONDARY STUDENTS IN RELATION TO THEIR ACHIEVEMENT IN ENGLISH

Abstract

The present study aims to find out the Self-concept of Higher Secondary Students in relation to their Achievement in English in Cuddalore district. A samples of 100 respondents selected randomly were studied. A questionnaire method of survey was used to find out the Self-concept of Higher Secondary Students in relation to their Achievement in English. The data were collected using the questionnaire as an instrument. Primary data were collected by conducting a direct structured interview using a questionnaire. All the respondents were asked the same questions in the same fashion and they have informed the purpose of the study. Descriptive statistics, t-test and correlation analysis was applied to test the hypotheses. The findings and observations are the result and outcome of the interpretations made during the study of analysis.
