Title

USE OF VISCOUS DAMPERS FOR ENHANCEMENT OF SEISMIC RESPONSE OF RCC HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS - A REVIEW

Abstract

There are many techniques available in the construction field to depreciate the vibration of the structure in case of earthquakes. Placing of dampers within the structure is one in every of them to deal with the problem of the industry. Type of dampers used as energy dissipating device changes the response of the building. The position, configuration and number of dampers has considerable effect on the seismic response of a building. The shape of building is also having consequences on the behaviour of the structure.
