The present study is to isolate and characterize biofilm forming ability of bacteria from boat’s surface. Biofouling capability of bacteria is determined by two methods such as Congo red agar method and tube method. 4 bacterial strains were isolated and named as BFB1, BFB2, BFB3 and BFB4. BFB1, BFB2 and BFB3 exhibited positive results of biofilm forming ability by both Congo red agar method and tube method. BFB4 didn’t have the ability to form biofilm. The bacterial isolates BFB1, BFB2 and BFB3 were subjected to 16S rDNA sequencing and identified as Exiguobacterium profundum BTNGPSA1, Vibrio fluvialis BTNGPSA2 and Aeromonas caviae BTNGPSA3 respectively. The 16S rDNA sequences of the bacterial isolates were submitted to Genbank and received the accession numbers.
