Introduction: Stress is more likely to occur in situations where the demands are high the amount of control an individual has is low and there is limited support or help available for the individual stress is dynamic process that changes in quality and quantity is response to widows are hurdle to exposure various facet of stress which in changeably represent level of stress in their lives. The age group of 30-45 years widows sometime feel higher level of stress especially they are not getting any support from family and relatives so she feel alone. If the widows are in poor economic status she face a varies type of problems mainly financial problem, children education and social problems. above 45 years age group of widows feel satisfaction and full feel her needs but sometime they face physical problems like joint pain, weakness and also if the woman’s family and sons are leave far away from her, she felt more alone but the stress level of widows most related to her physical problems and also face mild level of other problems. When widows purchasing capacity is gently. Decreased is a source if widows stress because of insufficiency of psychological and economic help. Stress is the bodies and minds system of meeting a challenges. if the stress or tension not relieved , can lead to anxiety, depression and mental disturbances may shows disturbance of sleep, loneliness , restlessness also decreased interest in life and experience unfitting and isolated if withdrawal left untreated. After spouse death widows do not able to handle insistence of various situations of life. The present study title: “A Study To Assess The Level Of Stress Among Widows In Selected Areas Of Pune City.” To assess the level of stress among widows in selected areas of Pune city and To associate the findings with selected demographic variables.. Material and Methods: In present study, researcher adopted non -probability purposive sampling technique. Tool consisted of self –structured questionnaire Ethical clearance was taken. The significance was calculated by using mean, standard deviation, and calculated ’t’ value, and association was done by Fisher's exact test with demographic variable. Result : Major findings of the study found that the majority of participants were age at marriage between 18-22years have 81% with working 66%. In the present study found that 81% of widows suffering in moderate level of stress while 18% widows suffering mild stress and only 1% widows suffering severe stress There is no association found between level of stress score and selected demographic variables. Conclusion: In the present study found that the majority of the widows suffering moderately 81% stress rather than only 1% widows suffering severely stress.
