Face recognition has become a popular field in the area of pattern recognition.Humans are able to easily distinguish between people under widely varying and different viewing conditions such as occlusion,rotational movements,illuminations etc.Motivated by the same phenomenon various new technologies have been introduced eg:OpenCv,deep learning techniques for the purpose of identifying/detecting humans by their faces in different challenging situations.Deep learning has solved many problems in the same by applying only single algorithm for face detection and recognition as compared with the past where face was detected by another algorithm most popularly Viola Jones which was a common method used in past to locate faces which lacked because the system performance severely dropped when tried to detect faces with different angles,illuminations and was recognized by using a another algorithm such as classifier named SVM.The purpose of this paper is to detect humans by their faces in a video by using a popular deep learning algorithm-CNN eliminating some of the existing problems such as detection of a stationary object,high processing time,variant cloth design,single person being idenitified repeatedly etc.
