Bama, as a Tamil Dalit woman author, has added to this rising Dalit awareness by coordinating it with women's activist cognizance. This sort of women' composing has begun as of late in Tamil Nadu. Consequently a surge of Dalit women' writing isn't obvious there. The abstract mediations of Bama turn out to be even more vital against this foundation. A solid pledge to a libertarian social structure and a firm purpose on her part can be seen in her composition. The women's activist, particularly Dalit women's activist awareness, which was seen in Karukku, has been communicated all the more pointedly in another novel Sangati.
