Navigation systems have been widely used in outdoor environments, but indoor navigation systems[1] are still in early development stages. In this paper, we introduced an augmented-reality-based indoor navigation application to assist people navigate in indoor campus environments. The application can be implemented on electronic devices such as smart phones[2]. The proposed navigation is based on positioning techniques to provide the capability of real time positioning, interactive navigation, and the provision of location-triggered information. Optimized path between user’s position and destination is found using Donkey and Smuggler optimization algorithm. Usage of optimal path helps time reduction. User is guided from source to the destination through an AR interface. Optimal path finding can help to solve many real world problems including circuit designs, air traffic controlling, and movement of products within a factory.
