Title

Analytical Study of Forward and Backward Coupling of a Coupled Microstripline

Abstract

With the advent of microwave integrated circuit, the old transmission systems such as two parallel wire transmission lines, waveguide, coaxial lines etc had been revolutionized with the introduction of miniaturized microwave plannar transmission structures. These plannar transmission structures are too much attractive and characterized by conducting thin metal strip, large ground planes & multilayer insulation. When two metal strips are placed parallel to each other in close proximity on a dielectric substrate supported by metal plate, natural coupling exist between them. This coupling is of two types (1) Capacitive (2) Inductive.
