Title

Study on teachers role towards development of education among Girl Students at secondary level in Kashmir Division

Abstract

Teacher plays an important role in the development of the child. Teacher is one of the important factors in the education system. Teachers provide useful insight to the students. The Indian education commission (1964-66), “the destiny of nation is shaped by the classroom.” The education of children depends upon the quality of teacher. At elementary level a teachers after family helps a lot in the life path development of the child and moulds his or her behavior in desirable way. After elementary stage of education, the crucial stage of education is the secondary stage of education. Teachers at secondary level are classroom managers who measures students learning and create inclusive learning environment and also rein force appropriate behavior. Education is the tool to remove social and gender barriers. Many studies have been found that girls at schools level are mostly discriminated by teachers and that is main cause of their dropouts. The Present study is based on the teacher role towards girl’s education at secondary level in Kashmir division. Descriptive method of research was used. The sample constituted of 500 Girl students from various secondary schools of Kashmir division namely Kulgham and Pulwama district. Self developed questionnaire for Girl students were used for data collection. Percentage statistics were employed for the analysis of data. The study locates the problems facing by students at secondary level and provides suggestion for the development of education among teen age girls. This study will surely helpful for policymakers and educationists.
