Abstract
The paper discusses the factors that undermine harmony and productivity organizations to include leadership behaviour, lack of effective communication, work environment, and non-recognition of the trade union as a bargaining party. The purpose of this paper is to establish whether work-life balance initiatives and practices can be considered as a strategic and improved individual and organizational performance.
