Abstract
Face detection is the process of identifying faces in a photograph using various approaches. Face identification techniques abound, but identifying a face against a complex backdrop, an obscured face, or in a variety of lighting situations may be difficult. Face identification against complicated backdrops and under various lighting conditions will be the focus of this algorithm's development. Surveillance systems that prevent the entry of unfamiliar persons, the identification of criminals in public areas and ATM theft may all benefit from face recognition technology.
