Investment is an important aspect for the people. There is lack of awareness and knowledge regarding investment avenue and important in them life. India had suffers by the COVID 19 pandemic in March 2020. It had effect on each and every sector of global due to same. The basic objective of this research is to analyze the impact of COVID 19 on the investment preferences of retail investors and also on mutual fund investment on the basis of inflow and outflow of money and asset under management. The stock market has shown 70% recovery till the end of July 2020 from the sink in March 2020. The Indian markets have shown good recovery in short span of time in the mutual industry and also seen positive growth in the mutual fund investment till the month of December.
