Nowadays Attendance management system is an important tool for taking attendance. Although, the traditional approach is time-consuming, intrusive, and requires manual work from the users. This research is focused on developing a less difficult, cost-effective, and more efficient automated student attendance management system using face recognition. This system takes attendance by using a camera mounted in front of a classroom, to capture images of the entire class. It detects the faces which are captured in the image and compares them with the enrolled faces in the database. On identification of a registered face on the captured image collections, the attendance register is marked as present otherwise absent.
