Banks play an important role in the Indian financial system by mobilizing deposits from households and making these funds available for investment by lending or by buying securities. Financial wellbeing of individuals, businesses, nations, and the entire globe depends on the banking industry. It is an integral part of nation’s economic progress. Banks play key role in promoting the economic growth. Most of the private banks are providing better service in an efficient manner. The current study is about two private sector banks namely HDFC bank and ICICI bank. Total Income, Net Profit, Total Expenses, etc. are analyzed to understand the performance of these two banks. It is found that the performance of HDFC bank is better when compared to ICICI bank.
