Title

Comparative study of standard proctor and modified proctor test

Abstract

The compaction attributes between standard Proctor and modified Proctor tests have been looked at. The outcomes show that most maximum dry unit weight esteems are tantamount for both the tests yet optimum moisture content qualities contrast marginally more. For both the tests: optimum moisture content was found to associate best with liquid limit, and the relationship for maximum dry unit weight with optimum moisture content was discovered to be nearly the equivalent. On comparing the maximum dry densities and optimum water content of all the soil samples achieved in both the tests, it was found that the maximum dry densities increases and the optimum water content decreases as we increase the sand content in the soil
