This book review relates to an analytical overview into the book namely “Public Policy in India”. The reviewer in this book review tries to find out the approach followed by the authors in determining the need of a concept like public policy in a nation like India where multiple factors impact the decision-making authorities and eventually lead to affect the overall structure for the formulation of an all pervasive and widely accepted set of policies. The reviewer emphasises on the interests of the authors and the areas that they have focused upon to elaborate the history and evolution of the concept of public policy in India. The methods and techniques of implementing, evaluating and analysing the results of policies in India have also been discussed. The central point of focus of a policy should be the life of an individual to which it directly caters. The reviewer has tried to find out the loopholes in the ascertainment of the standards and measures by the authors, if any. The reviewer has taken the help of already accepted principles of policy formulation, which are widely in force, to check the level of accuracy that the concept should ideally possess.
