Authors

Abstract

The subject of our research is to investigate the attitude of school teachers towards transgender students' inclusion in education. The three purposes for which I have studied are - to explore the attitude of the school teachers towards transgender students' inclusion in education, to compare attitude of rural and urban school teachers regarding transgender students' inclusion in education, to compare attitude of male and female school teachers towards transgender students' inclusion in education. The quantitative research method has been used for the study. The results I obtained through the self- constructed attitude scale are - there is no difference between the attitudes of rural and urban teachers in the inclusion of transgender students' in education. And there is no difference between the attitudes of male and female teachers in the inclusion of transgender students' in education. 40% of teachers are Strongly Agree,54% of teachers are Agree with the thought that Transgender students need to be admitted in general schools. 40% of teachers are Strongly Disagree,54% of teachers are Disagree with the thought that the study of other students may be hampered if transgender students are admitted to general school. 60% of teachers Strongly Agree,36% of teachers are Agree and 4% of teachers are Disagree with the thought that the respect and love will be grown up to transgender students if they study with other students in general school. Therefore it can be said, transgender students should be included in general school.
