The aim of the study was to formulate fast dissolving tablet of Deferasirox. Deferasirox is a once daily, oral iron chelator approved for treatment of transfusional iron overload in adult & pediatric patient. It belongs to BCS-II drug. Which has low solubility & high permeability. For solubility enhancement, solid dispersion is prepared by kneading method. In prelimnary batch the effect of different superdisintigrant (crosspovidone, crosscarmellose sodium, sodium starch glycolate) in three different concentration. A 32 full factorial design applied & the effect of two different independent variable conc.of crosspovidone,(X1) conc. of cross carmellose sodium (X2) On disintegration time (Y1) & %CDR (Y2) as dependent variable. The check point batch result suggested that tablet disintigrant within 60 sec. similarly, in vitro drug release in 15 min. The present study concluded that fast dissolving tablets has potential to improve the drug release patient compliance & provide faster onset of action.
