Serendipitous drug usage refers to sudden relief of comorbid diseases or symptoms once patients take a drug for an additional common or acknowledged indication. Within the history of drug discovery, fluke has contributed considerably to new and triple-crown indications for several medicines. Our previous analysis has known patients rumored lucky drug usage in social media. If such info may be computationally known in social media, it may be useful for generating and substantive drug-repositioning hypotheses.
