Seismic data is a true subsurface image of the Earth. Being the most complex and costly geophysical method for hydrocarbon exploration, planning and designing of the acquisition of seismic data plays an important role in cancelling out the risk of inaccurate interpretation. In the 21st century, all the major hydrocarbon discoveries have already been made and rest sedimentary basins are still in immature stage. So getting true, detailed and actual data might help us to explore leftover hydrocarbons to its full potential and judiciously. The text discusses all the aspects which can be made to acquire a perfect and flawless seismic data.
