Title

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Plant Extracts and Their Antimicrobial Applications

Abstract

The present study reports the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using plant extracts of Tulasi (Ocimum sanctum) and Neem (Azadirachta indica). The synthesized Ag NPs were characterized using UV-Visible spectroscopy and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The Ag NPs were then impregnated on the surface of blotting paper and tested for their antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli bacteria. The results showed that the Ag NPs exhibited significant antimicrobial activity, making them a potential material for water purification applications.
