ABSTRACT Background: Few studies have shown that an increased risk of Cognitive impairment is associated with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus. Objective: To estimate the prevalence and incidence of Cognitive impairment in people with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus. Materials and Methods: We conducted an observational study using the ACE III to assess the Cognitive impairment in Type 2 Diabetes mellitus and subjects with score between 85 and 92 were included in the study. People diagnosed with T2DM with age group 35-65 were included. A total of 700 patients were screened and after set parameter of inclusion and exclusion criteria,106 subjects was enrolled for the study out of which only 60 Diabetic subjects were included in the present research. The study was conducted from July 2019 to July 2021 in Ayurveda Hospital in College of Ayurveda, Bharti Vidyapeeth, Pune. Results: The prevalence of Cognitive impairment in T2DM patients is 56.60%. Conclusion: This study adds to the evidence on dementia prevalence and incidence, particularly in T2DM patients. The present study revealed that higher prevalence of Cognitive impairment in T2DM.
