Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a rapidly growing concept in Machine Learning. It is the technology used to aid computers to understand the human’s natural language. It is not an easy task teaching machines to understand how we communicate. NLP allows machines to breakdown and interpret human language. It’s at the core of tools we use every day from translation software, chat-bots, spam filters, and search engines, to grammar correction software, voice assistants, and social media monitoring tools. Recent years have featured a trend towards pre-trained language representations in NLP systems, applied in increasingly flexible and task agnostic ways for downstream transfer.
