Title

INFLUENCE OF JEEWAMRIT FORTIFIED WITH BANANA PEEL, SLACKED LIME AND BIOFERTILIZERS ON GROWTH, YIELD AND YIELD-ATTRIBUTES OF SOYBEAN (Glycine Max ( L.) MERRILL) IN VERTISOL

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted consecutively during kharif season of 2018 and 2019 at the Research Farm, RAK College of Agriculture, Sehore (M.P.), India to study the influence of Influence of Jeewamrit fortified with slacked lime and biofertilizers on growth, yield and yield-attributes of soybean (Glycine Max ( L.) Merrill) soybean. Application of 50 % RDF + Rhizobium + PSB @ 4 kg ha-1 as soil application + Jeewamrit 500 lit ha-1 30 DAS + Slacked lime @ 25 kg ha-1 T7), significantly enhanced the growth attributing parameters viz., plant height 58.47 branches 5.53 per plant, root length 32.54 cm per plant, dry weight 23.13 g per plant, 27.96 number or root nodules per plant and dry weight or root nodules 62.38 per plant of soybean over control (T1). The same treatment 50 % RDF + Rhizobium + PSB @ 4 kg ha-1 as soil application + Jeewamrit 500 lit ha-1 30 DAS + Slacked lime @ 25 kg ha-1 (T7), significantly influenced the yield attributing charactes viz., 47.66 pods per plant 7.0 seeds per pod 8.75 g, percent seed index, grain yield 15.02 g per plant, grain yield (13.09 g ha-1) and straw yield (16.00 g ha-1) of soybean over control T1). This was followed by 50 % RDF + Jeewamrit @ 500 lit ha-1 30 DAS + Slacked lime @ 25 kg ha-1 (T6) which remained at par with (T7).
