Abstract
إن الشيخ محمد الأماني المولوي، يعتبر شخصية عظيمة في تاريخ مسلمي ولاية كيرالا، بذل معظم حياته ليؤلف تفسيرا كاملا للقرآن في اللغة المليالمية. ولقد كتب المولوي كثيرا من الكتب في اللغة المليالمية والعربية. وكان عاشقا للعلم والتدريس، وكان رجلا بسيطا وعالما بارزا متواضعا. تأثيره عميق جدير بالذكر في آفاق العلم الواسعة في ديار كيرالا. ثم إنها لحقيقة محزنة أن الرحلة الأدبية القرآنية للشيخ الكبير محمد الأماني، الذي كان ينبغي أن يحتل مكانة عالية بين العلماء المسلمين القدامى في ولاية كيرالا، لم يتم تسجيلها بشكل كاف في التاريخ بطريقة مناسبة.
