The governments of the world have been unambiguously talking about developing entrepreneurship with a view to accelerate economic growth and provide for the future generations, ample work opportunities. Every government around the world is taking necessary steps to encourage its people to become entrepreneurs. India is no exception. Successive governments in India, especially after the economic reforms of 1991, have tried to provide a fillip to the entrepreneurial scene in the country. The present paper throws some light on the various advancements made in India in the area of entrepreneurship development after the liberalization of the Indian economy.
